So I think I have a pretty good excuse for not posting for over a month. I had a very busy time making lots of cakes. Here are some pictures to enjoy.

New phone. New apps.
I had to buy a new phone yesterday. My four year old decided it would be a great idea to use the sink in my bathroom instead of the one she usually uses and dribble water all over my phone. So I now have a spiffy new phone, but ended up having to pay full price for it. If I renewed my contact they were going to make me change to a new plan which would have cost me $40 more a month.
On the up side, I now have fun apps that should make updating my blog more convenient.
So while I get used to using this app, enjoy a cute picture of my adorable niece in the judge's robe costume that my sister and I made for her last night.

New Cakes!
I'm a horrible blogger. I'm so slow at posting stuff. I made these cakes a few weeks ago. They turned out really cute.
A mad hatter cake for an Alice in Wonderland theme first birthday party. The teapot on top is the smash cake for the little girl.
A cupcake pull-apart cake for a farm theme birthday party.

Finally Done!
It's been forever since I posted, but I am glad to say that I am finally completely done with the reversible dresses I have been working on. I am also extremely glad that I made it one size bigger, since it took me about 6 months to finish it. I don't think I'm ever going to do applique by hand again though. It takes way too long. I'll have to practice doing it with the sewing machine.

Peasant Dresses
I made these two adorable peasant dresses for a friend of mine. She had a few fabric remnants that I thought would be perfect as matching dresses for her daughters. I made the first one with ruffle sleeves, but I only had enough fabric remaining for cap sleeves for the second.
These dresses were made from this wonderful tutorial.

Fat Quarter Pillow Case Dresses
I finally finished the dresses I have been working on. They turned out beautifully.
This dress is for a friend of my daughter. We were invited to her birthday party on Saturday, so this will be part of her gift.
This orange and blue one is for my daughter. I will probably have her wear it to the party.
I followed this tutorial.
